the day after...

november 3rd.

the day after election day and i woke up disappointed.

i pretty much expected the outcome.

the republicans took over the house.  luckily the democrats retained control of the senate.

apparently people have forgotten that the president cannot move mountains.  he was not given a magic wand when he took office.  how could he completely change the country, the economy, health care, etc in less than 2 years??  especially after the previous 8 years under george w. bush.

be realistic people.

give it time, give him a chance.

people seem to forget the many things he actually has done.

perhaps they do not even know or care to know.

please watch and listen.

vote.

tomorrow is november 2nd and that means one thing - VOTE.

i did.

i voted early through the mail because that is how oregon does it.

of course i got a follow up letter saying that my signature didn't match from when i signed up so I had to send in a new one.

but i voted.

i have never understood people's ambivalence to voting.  

we are damn lucky to have the right to vote so use it.

if you're not registered, do so.  it takes seconds.
